August 30, 2010

Cathy’s aggressive cancer continues to progress. Cathy’s kidneys have stopped working and now the key goal is to continue to keep her pain free and comfortable.

It was really nice that both Christy and David were able to come to Boston yesterday and talk with Cathy. We had a nice time together talking and we took some long walks down memory lane. We talked about fun travels and laughed together. We will likely do some more of that today too.

Dear Dan,Cathy,Christy and David. You are in the hearts+prayers of all those who remember you at Kill-O-The Grange.Everyone is moved by your story and feeling privileged to journey with you in our love and prayers.
Do tell Cathy that my eyes are fixed on making it to Base camp where I will insist there is a Starbucks to celebrate the depths of God-given friendship with her and Fawn as I gaze on the ceiling of the world. Will always remember that first Starbucks I tasted with Cathy in New York.'Nattering in heaven' will be written in the near future and I am negotiating with God that we will all be given a Starbucks gold card to use on the nattering cloud.Heavenly sized bladders all the way! We will be able to make up for lost chocolate eating days then....and it won't be restricted to one square twice a day!!!
Oceans of love, hugs and prayers coming your way from across 'The Pond'.Lots of shared tears too. Sandraxxxx

There are no words to express the depth of the emotion I am feeling for you all. I am remembering the times we have spent with you--Mystic, the Goshen Fair, dinners together. Dave and I send you our love.

The Church family prayed for you on Sunday and continue to pray.
As we read John 10 we asked that the Good Shepherd would be present with you now and in the days to come as He has been with you in the past
